Freeway Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to join their client on a temporary basis with a view to a more long term and even full time position.
The role - Yard Operative.
As a Yard operative you will be responsible for the day to day upkeep of the client's yard , you will be working with scaffolding equipment and safety decking so a back ground in Scaffolding would be a major plus point. it is also Ideal that you have a Fork lift truck counterbalance licence with a min of 5000kg as there will be a requirement to use the Fork lift for certain tasks , this is not essential for the right candidate.
Other tasks will include loading and unloading of flat bed vehicles , relocation of scaffolding and decking. cleaning down , re painting clips etc. as well as all other general duties including cleaning down and keeping site tidy and free from hazard.
Your normal start time will be 07:00 am and 4.30 finish Monday to Friday , you can also start from 06:00 and work to 5 and gain overtime payment at time and half for either side of your normal start and finish time.
Requirements for the role
A full and valid FORK LIFT TRUCK 5000KG would be ideal although would not be essential.
Expereince of working as a yeard labourer would be beneficial.
A Background working in scaffolding would be an advantage although not essential.
Either have own vehicle or good access to Bredbury Business park for 07:00 am in the morning.
A good solid work ethic.
