Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a teaching assistant with experience supporting SEN in Early Years. This is a full time role to start after Easter.
The strongest applicant will have confidence in leading a group of children in absence of their teacher, reading, and writing sessions and will have good behavioural management skills.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a UK school.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided).
Small amount of information about the role.
The role is full time in the Hive, which is our alternative provision set up for complex needs pupils who are non verbal autistic children in year 1 or 2. The role entails intimate care as one of the pupils wears nappies so needs changing throughout the day when necessary. There is a programme of activities based on speech and language targets, sensory play and occupational therapy. Tasks are very limited due to the nature of the children's high needs.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child related references.
