1:1 Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Stockport

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming Primary School in the Stockport area who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 1 (KS1) with complex needs on a 1:1 basis.

This is a full-time role, running until the end of the academic year, and would suit an experienced professional with a strong background in SEND support. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, dependable, and bring an enthusiastic attitude to every day in the classroom.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Demonstrate a calm and compassionate approach, building trust and consistency with the child

  • Be proactive and adaptable to support the child's academic, emotional and social development

  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals as needed
