Due to continued growth and increasing project value, they are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support new project development and revenue growth across the UK.

 

The Role of the Technical Sales Engineer

This is a high-impact technical sales role suited to someone confident in front of customers, commercially driven, and technically credible within HVAC or air handling environments.

The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business, managing key customer relationships, and delivering engineered solutions that add value to clients’ operations. The Technical Sales Engineer will be given clear targets, with the business focusing on fewer projects of higher value rather than volume sales.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer

  • Proactively develop new business opportunities and projects nationwide
  • Build and manage long-term client relationships within the HVAC sector
  • Attend customer meetings and site visits across the UK
  • Produce technical solutions, engineering calculations, and accurate costings
  • Prepare and present detailed quotations and proposals
  • Chase quotations through to commercial decision
  • Use CRM systems to manage pipeline and reporting
  • Deliver monthly sales reporting and forecasts
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit, supportive team

 

About the Technical Sales Engineer

  • Engineering or technical background
  • Proven experience in technical or engineering-led sales
  • Strong HVAC or air handling knowledge
  • Comfortable presenting to customers and operating autonomously
  • Commercially driven, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure
  • Ideally brings an existing industry network or client base
  • Confident using CRM systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Happy to travel across the UK to meet clients
