Rate: Up to 65 per hour (Outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite in Manchester

KO2 is hiring a Aerospace Software Technical Writer for a leading aerospace client developing embedded software for a major aircraft project. The role involves producing high-quality documentation to meet DO-178C standards.

The Role: You'll take ownership of all technical documentation required for a critical aerospace software project. Documents include:

  • Software Development Plan
  • Verification Plans & Reports
  • Configuration Management Plans
  • Certification & QA Documentation

Skills & Experience required:

  • Experience as a Technical Writer or Software Engineer with strong documentation skills
  • Aerospace software project experience
  • Solid understanding of DO-178B or DO-178C
  • Ideally, experience transitioning from embedded software engineering to technical writing
