Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for General Warehouse on a 12 month Contract based in Able Seaton.

This Role is Outside IR35.

Role Summary

The department is responsible to define the offshore installation strategy of the wind turbine components and provides the methods, all the transport and installation tools and the manpower for projects.

The installation department is responsible for all offshore activities from load-out on installation vessel up to completion of mechanical and electrical operations. This role within the team is to manage all Installation material, plant and tooling on the WIV Deck in support of the Installation team and subcontractors.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Installation Supervisor, the Store Keeper / Deck Hand is responsible for the storekeeping/ inventory management on the wind turbine installation vessel

• Picking, signing-out and signing-in of materials/equipment, spare parts etc from Installation, Mechanical-Electrical and Commissioning technicians

• Monitor procurement activities for requested materials/equipment/consumables to ensure required stock levels maintained at all time

• Co-ordination with the Installation Supervisor, M&E and Commissioning leads to prepare equipment required in preparation of next shift’s operational requirements

• Monitor equipment degradation, quarantining and calibration to ensure required stock levels always maintained

• Monitor Plant condition and associated statutory inspection dates

• Co-ordinate repairs and replacement for defective tooling and equipment alongside the Installation Supervisor

• Co-ordination with onshore logistics team for preparation and receipt of equipment to the Installation Vessel during port calls

• Control and manifesting of all material/ equipment • Maintaining calibration of all tooling/ equipment

• Ability to perform tooling calibration, where practical

• Maintenance of inventory in the IT system

• Ensuring onboard containers and storage/ COSHH is kept in a clean, tidy, and organized fashion and in line with required storage requirements

• Assisting deck operations, sea fastening, plant equipment operations where operations require

• The Store Keeper / Deck Hand will be on a 12hr shift (permanent dayshift or permanent nightshift) 3/3 weeks rotation. It is necessary to be flexible and understand rotation patterns may vary based on operations

Requirements

• Knowledge in the construction/ installation of Offshore Wind Turbines is mandatory

• Minimum 2 years Store keeping / warehouse experience (Previous technician experience will be considered)

• IT literate

• FUET or BOSIT – mandatory

• GWO Working & Rescue @ Height – mandatory

• GWO – 5 basic elements – mandatory

• Industry (OGUK) Medical with Chester Step, XBR Measurements – mandatory

• Telehandler / MEWP Qualifications - Advantageous
