Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team supporting schools across the North East. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting an inclusive learning environment and ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils and small groups, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom management, and learning activities.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in accordance with individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to teaching staff.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community and uphold its values and standards.

Person Specification

  • A patient, empathetic, and professional approach to supporting pupils.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff.
  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.
  • You must hold or be willing to have an Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
