Major Healthcare are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to cover shifts in Care Homes throughout County Durham. Whether you're looking for full-time hours or occasional shifts we have day and night positions available to suit your requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents
  • Undertaking all aspects of personal care
  • Assisting with food and fluid intake
  • Helping residents mobilise safely around the home
  • Reporting any concerns to the shift leader (Senior Carer, Nurse etc)
  • Maintaining accurate documentation

We are looking for staff who have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 6 months paid experience working with vulnerable adults in Care Homes, Hospitals or community care within the UK
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to pay for a DBS)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality person-centred care
  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
