I am in the process of supporting a Driving, Criminal Defence and Family Law specialist to recruit a Criminal Defence Solicitor or Higher Court Advocate to join their busy Criminal Department due to a substantial increase in workload.Our client are highly recommended by their clients for being supportive, sensitive and robust. The team believe in straightforward communication, keeping clients in the know of what is happening at each stage of their cases. They offer an initial 30 days' holiday, including Bank Holidays! The minimum hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with additional out of hours police station call outs when necessary, which are remunerated on a split fee basis. Saturday/Bank Holiday court representation will be an occasional requirement.The successful candidate will:
  • Represent clients at Police Stations and Magistrates Courts (including out of hours)
  • Litigator Crown Court cases
  • Represent clients at the Magistrates Court at trial
  • Current Duty Solicitor Panel membership would be an advantage
  • Diverse caseload, ranging from road traffic matters to serious sexual, drug and fraud cases
  • Secretarial support is provided
  • Attend police stations / Courts throughout the area
  • Represent clients
  • Liaising with clients outside normal working hours
The salary and benefit package offered is competitive and negotiable, dependent upon experience.
