Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Part time (3 days per week), Permanent

42,187 - 50,964 (pro rata for part time)

You'll be based across 2 of their sites - a learning centre in Heighington (2 days), and at their other learning centre in Stockton-on-Trees (1 day).

52-week role

Our private client are seeking an Occupational Therapist to support their specialist sites in Heighington and Stockton-on-Trees on a permanent basis.

Both of their learning centres provide therapy and care to all children and young people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children and young people with complex needs, including neurodevelopmental conditions, developmental trauma, and SEN.
  • Use clinical formulation to design and deliver individualised, evidence-based interventions that support functional independence, emotional regulation, and engagement in daily activities.
  • Collaborate closely with education, residential, and clinical colleagues to provide joined-up, holistic support across both school and home settings.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and consultations to education and care teams, enhancing their understanding and implementation of clinically-informed practices.

Requirements:

  • Be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC
  • Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences.
