Summary
To support the Quality Manager and partner with production/operations to improve the quality consciousness for the site’s workforce. Conduct quality analyses through audits, process walks, and surveillance for process compliance to Company Quality System. Assist in managing process corrective actions and analysing effectiveness of corrective actions and suspect product containment. Perform other QA functions as needed.
Experience within a manufacturing industry and food packaging/food BRCGS accreditation is essential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To cover Quality Manager role during holidays/absence.
- Support with holiday cover when required for shift inspectors.
- Completion of Daily GMP audits to ensure site complies with BRC requirements, internal procedures & policies, and product traceability is maintained
- Inspect all completed job packs and ensure completed correctly to maintain product traceability and any corrective actions are carried out.
- Supporting, developing, sharing experience with Shift Inspectors.
- Designated person for new staff training in regards of quality requirements/expectations on the factory floor
- Monitor employees to ensure no prohibited items brought onto the factory floor
- Monthly Glass & Plastic audits
- Supporting in external audit preparation & assisting during the customer/third party audits.
- Raising internal non-conformances where site or product doesn’t comply with internal procedures/BRC Standard. Ensuring non-conformances are closed out in the timely manner with the team.
- Raising Scrap Authorisations & registering it on internal log
- Responsible for managing all non-conforming products/returns on site, ensuring EFACS is maintained and up to date.
- Proactively seek and identify areas for Quality Improvement· Provide data analysis for Quality investigations where and when required.
