Smart Education is currently recruiting for Secondary School Teachers to work in a variety of mainstream and specialist secondary schools across the Teesside area. We are seeking subject specialists in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Languages, and more, for both short-term and long-term placements.

Job requirements:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
· Experience teaching in secondary school settings (NQTs/ECTs welcome)
· Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
· Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
· Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons
· Strong communication and organisational skills
· An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Role responsibilities:

· Teaching your subject to students across KS3–KS5
· Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to mixed abilities
· Marking and assessing pupil work in line with school policies
· Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
· Supporting the academic and personal development of students
· Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
· Contributing to departmental planning, meetings, and CPD
