Student Support Assistant

Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only + 1 week
Salary: Actual 23,000-25,000 per annum
Start Date: January 2026

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to join a thriving mixed secondary school (11-16) in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a positive school environment. For the right candidate, this role will become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for students, ensuring their welfare and engagement.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote positive behaviour and learning.
  • Communicate confidently with students, parents, and all stakeholders within the school community.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and promote the welfare of children and young people.
