The OpportunityThis role will see you working closely with the current Tax Partner to deliver strategic tax advisory services and drive the growth of the tax offering in the Stoke office. You will be supporting a team of 10 tax professionals across both corporate and personal tax disciplines, with a view to assuming leadership of the team in the coming years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert tax advisory services to a varied client base across multiple sectors.
  • Advising on matters such as succession planning, business sales, restructuring, employee incentivisation, and wealth planning.
  • Handling complex issues across HMRC enquiries, IHT, CGT, corporate and personal tax, and residency matters.
  • Supporting compliance reviews and planning meetings, while working collaboratively with audit and wider advisory teams.
  • Managing team performance, monitoring WIP and budgets, and contributing to wider business strategy.

Candidate Profile:

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent) with substantial experience in tax advisory.
  • Broad technical knowledge across both corporate and personal tax is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a confident, client-facing approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ambition to step into a future Partner role.
  • Eagerness to develop others and play a key role in shaping the future direction of the team.
