QUALITY ENGINEER PART-TIME
We are seeking a Quality Engineer on a Part-time basis in order to provide support to the Quality team.

DUTIES
- Maintain and support the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.
- Coordinate the annual product testing schedule in collaboration with external laboratories.
- Manage internal non-conformance and supplier reject systems, ensuring effective documentation and resolution.
- Support new engineering projects through the APQP process, with a focus on plant-level involvement.
- Drive internal PPM (Parts Per Million) improvement initiatives and lead problem-solving activities.
- Assist cross-functional teams in resolving quality issues using 8D methodology.
- Oversee calibration schedules for all internal equipment, including internal checks and coordination with external calibration providers.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to coordinate and implement product and process improvement initiatives.
- Monitor internal scrap levels and lead improvement activities with production teams.
- Manage and maintain supplier Certificates of Conformity and associated documentation.
- Maintain and update customer quality portals, providing regular reports on audit and project status to management.
- Create, review, and revise quality documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other related documents.
- Conduct audits covering quality systems, processes, LPA (Layered Process Audits), and basic quality practices.
REQUIREMENTS
- It is essential that you have Quality Engineer experience
- Must have gained experience from within manufacturing
- A good standard of IT literacy is important exposure to SAP would be advantageous
- Proven problem-solving skills 8D and 5 Why analysis
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 and TS16949 would be ideal though not essential
