This role suits a technically focused individual who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about delivering real on-site environmental improvements. It is primarily site-based with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

The Role - Graduate Remediation Engineer / Remediation Engineer

  • Support the technical delivery of remediation and enabling projects
  • Ensure environmental controls and engineering best practices are upheld
  • A practical and varied role from site setup to reporting and verification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with remediation strategies, method statements & risk assessments
  • Support Materials Management Plans & permit/licence applications
  • Supervise site activities (earthworks, drilling, excavation, etc.)
  • Conduct environmental monitoring (soil, water, gas, noise, dust)
  • Operate & maintain soil/water treatment systems
  • Sample scheduling, analysis & assessment against project criteria
  • GPS surveying & accurate site record keeping
  • Liaise with clients, regulators & third-party verifiers
  • Compile data for completion reports & health & safety documentation

Requirements:

  • Graduate Remediation Engineer:
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, Civil Engineering or similar
  • Strong interest in environmental engineering
  • Valid UK driving licence

Remediation Engineer:

  • 2-5 years' experience in remediation, site investigation or environmental consultancy
  • On-site experience with monitoring, sampling, and earthworks
  • Knowledge of remediation methods & environmental compliance
  • Report writing & use of environmental monitoring tools
