Position – Service Account Manager – Water Treatment

Location – Stoke on Trent, to work the Midlands & NW

Salary/Package - £35,000 - £45,000, Company Car/Fuel, Bonus – EST 8-10% of the annual salary, 25 Days holiday, non-contributary pension.

My client, including its UK operations, is a leading provider of industrial water and process treatment solutions. The company focuses on enhancing plant efficiency, reducing downtime, and promoting environmental sustainability across various industries.

Programs that serve all manner of industrial applications, including Cooling Towers, Closed Loops & Chilled Water, Steam Boilers & Generators and Hot & Cold-Water Systems.

*Ideally, we are looking for a Kit Carrier/Service Chemist, that will be given a portfolio of clients, for you to then Account Manage. We would consider a Graduate & full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of water treatment service contracts across multiple industrial and commercial sites.
  • Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with agreed specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor and manage contract performance metrics, reporting KPIs and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for each contract.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to support contract renewals, extensions, and upselling opportunities.

You must have or hold

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in Service Chemistry or a similar remit.
  • Ideally hold a strong understanding of water treatment technologies, chemical dosing, and compliance standards (e.g., Legionella control, ACoP L8, HSG274), but training provided.
  • Degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Must hold a Full UK Licence
  • Pass an enhanced DBS Check
