Site Engineer

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent.

Responsibilities of a Site Engineer:

• Ensure all works are completed in line with environmental requirements.

• Uphold high-quality standards and support continuous improvement across the project.

• Ensure work is delivered free from defects and proactively identify opportunities for value engineering.

• Follow internal quality procedures and contribute to best-practice implementation.

• Set up and manage site survey controls and levels for multiple projects.

• Carry out accurate setting out of works in accordance with project drawings, performing regular checks.

• Maintain precise site records that meet both internal and legal requirements.

• Address unexpected technical issues and help resolve on-site challenges as they arise.

• Prepare procurement schedules and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure resources are available when needed.

• Create Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and deliver task briefings.

• Develop a two-week look-ahead programme in collaboration with the Site Agent.

• Complete daily site diaries and allocation sheets to support project reporting.

Required Experience fror Site Engineer:

• Previous experience in setting out on civil engineering projects
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
• Fully conversant with the use of robotic total stations or EDM instruments
• Degree qualified/HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook

• Experience in using AutoCAD and MS Office
• Temporary-works co-ordination
• CSCS card
• Cable avoidance training
• First aid training
• NEBOSH or IOSH
