About Us

We’re currently looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a fantastic chance to help students in KS3 & KS4 in a dynamic learning environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support classroom learning, help students access the curriculum, and encourage progress and positive behaviour. This Temp to Perm opportunity offers hands-on experience working closely with teaching and pastoral teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support lesson delivery across multiple subjects

  • Provide 1:1 and group support, including SEN/EAL students

  • Assist with classroom setup and resource preparation

  • Encourage a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere

  • Help manage classroom behaviour effectively

  • Work with SENCOs, teachers, and support staff to meet pupil needs

  • Supervise students during break/lunch when required

Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year working with secondary-aged students

  • Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and teamwork

    • Positive attitude and adaptable approach

    • Committed to supporting young learners

DBS Check
