I am recruiting for an Environmental & Quality Co-ordinator on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Stoke-on-Trent, part of a large, global organisation.

The Environmental & Quality Co-ordinator will report to the Quality Manager and provide support with business compliance with particular emphasis on the Environmental side.

This role involves performing daily functions in line with the quality management system, with a particular focus on environmental aspects, to ensure ongoing business compliance.

  • Ensure the business understands and complies with current legislation
  • Communicate legislative changes throughout the business and retain related records as evidence of compliance.
  • Audit compliance usingsystems andstandards to maintain certification.
  • Stay informed about changes to existing legislation and upcoming legislation and ensure relevant actions are taken in response to these changes.
  • Monitor the use of all materials within the business, providing control methods for compliance and protecting workforce health and safety.
  • Ensure the latest versions of material safety data sheets are available for reference.
  • Complete customer requests for information related to our environmental impact.
  • Support quality with in-process quality control inspections.
  • Log and administerall instances of non-conformance.
  • Manage all concessions and deviations arising from inspections.

Requirements

Some experience in quality and environmental control is required together with a good level of education including Maths & English at GCSE pass.

Strong attention to detail and accurate administrative skills are also necessary
