Think Recruitment are currently working with a well-known building and maintenance contractor based in the Midlands who are searching for a Multi Trades Engineers to join their teams based in Sheffield, Macclesfield, Stafford, and surrounding areas
In their trades team you will play an important role in dealing with dis-repair / void properties, renovation of Kitchens / bathrooms, plastering, plumbing, joinery, damp proofing, timber treatments, basement waterproofing, and structural repairs across England & Wales. We take pride in delivering high-quality, reliable services with a customer-first approach.
You will need to have a Full UK Driving License as this role is mobile and will require you to travel to various sites where needed.
The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi Skilled Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for undertake maintenance and repair works to various property types.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake responsive repairs, void works, and planned maintenance across a range of trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating).
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, within agreed timeframes and with minimal disruption to residents.
- Accurately diagnose issues and carry out effective solutions.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the values of Shield Waterproofing and Preservation.
- Maintain up-to-date records of work carried out using our mobile systems.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar multi-trade or maintenance role, ideally within social housing or domestic property settings.
- Competent in at least two core trades (e.g. plumbing, joinery, plastering, painting & decorating, etc.).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Full UK driving licence (a company vehicle will be provided).
- Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- CSCS card desirable but not essential.
- DBS check desirable but not essential.
