Skilled Labourer

Skilled Labourer; Stoke-on-Trent to cover Midlands / Northern region; up to �33K (including overtime/ paid to-site-travel time)

A leading manufacturer and installer of floor / wall coverings & trims and lighting solutions is recruiting. This company is extremely well-established and has a reputation for supplying bespoke solutions into the Commercial Office, Healthcare and Education sectors. They are currently very busy and are looking to recruit a Skilled Labourer on a permanent basis to work on-site throughout the Midlands and North regions.

The role of the site-based Skilled Labourer will involve;

Fitting of flooring, wall protection systems and electrical lighting installations.

Dealing with on-site problems and working with the Surveyors and Area Sales Managers to resolve these issues, which requires a proactive and customer-based approach.

Travelling to project sites across the northern region on a daily basis, occasionally working further afield, on average 6am starts for a 5pm finish including travel time to site.

Applicants for the Skilled Labourer vacancy should have;

A valid CSCS card, a basic qualification in health & safety and/or first aid would be an advantage, combined with trade-related experience, ideally interior fit-outs such as carpet fitting, shop fitting, joinery etc. but not essential as full training will be provided.

A driving licence is essential and passport is preferable as may be carrying out international work on occasions.

Those applying should be confident with a drill and take pride in their work. Experience/qualifications in the area of electrical installations would also be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
