Role Responsibilities
  • Manage and review a varied portfolio of personal tax compliance clients
  • Provide technical input on advisory projects involving inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and trust planning
  • Lead and develop the tax team, overseeing day-to-day workflow and coaching junior staff
  • Collaborate closely with the wider leadership team to shape the future of the tax department
  • Ensure high technical standards and compliance with evolving legislation
  • Act as a key point of contact for high-value and long-standing clients
  • Play an active role in strategic growth, business development, and succession planning

Candidate Requirements
  • CTA qualified - this is a must for this senior leadership role
  • A strong background in personal tax compliance, with advisory exposure across IHT, CGT, and trusts
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team in a practice environment
  • Excellent technical skills and the ability to explain complex matters clearly to clients and colleagues
  • Strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and a proactive mindset
  • A desire to step into a long-term leadership role and influence the direction of the department
