Aspire People are currently seeking experienced and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team with supporting across educational settings. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping pupils with Special Educational Needs thrive and succeed in their learning journey.
In this role, you can expect to work closely with teachers, SENDCo's, and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of needs, including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language needs. Your support will help ensure that every child has access to the curriculum and feels valued, understood, and included in their learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children with SEND
- Possess a strong understanding of SEMH, Autism, and Speech & Language support
- Be confident in using a range of strategies and interventions to support learning
- Be calm, patient, and understanding of varying levels of need
- Be passionate about supporting all children to achieve their potential
- Be organised, enthusiastic, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
