Technical/Quality Manager - Stoke-on-Trent


Salary: 30,000 - 38,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours)
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

A small but internationally connected manufacturer in the Stoke-on-Trent area is looking to recruit a Technical/Quality Manager. This is a key role within a small, close-knit team, offering the opportunity to work closely with the current Technical Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the Quality Assurance System

  • Investigating new applications, products and materials

  • Responding to customer complaints and quality issues

  • Writing manufacturing specifications for new products

  • Assisting the Design Manager with structural analysis calculations

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Degree qualified, preferably in Materials Science, Ceramics or a related discipline

  • Knowledge of the mechanical and thermal properties of ceramics and other engineering materials

  • Experience with testing procedures and quality systems

  • Background in ceramics or materials science is highly advantageous
