We at Work Lyf Group are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nights Production Manager to oversee our clients manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production processes, supply chain management, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role is crucial for ensuring that our production meets quality standards while optimising efficiency and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of the production process, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Oversee the use of ERP systems, including SAP, to manage inventory, production planning, and supply chain activities effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between production goals and overall business objectives.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure products meet established specifications.
  • Provide mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in assembly processes and safety protocols.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to production processes, quality control measures, and compliance with industry regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to machinery used in the production process is advantageous.
  • Experience with quality control processes and standards in a manufacturing setting.
