Claims Executive -Stoke

Base Salary to 60k DOE & Flex Benefits

Our Client has an opportunity for a Claims Executive to join their Team in Stoke . Reporting into the Regional Claims Manager, this role is perfect for you if you are currently working as a Claims Executive and looking for a new challenge, or an experienced Claims Handler looking for the next step in your career.

What you will do as a Claims Executive:

  • Provide dedicated, proactive support and advice to clients, throughout the claims journey, particularly in the event of large or complex claims, both in person and via teams / telephone.
  • Attend site with Loss Adjusters, sometimes at short notice, in the event of a large / complex loss, to add value to the claims journey and provide support to our client.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships, with clients, adjusters, Insurers, colleagues within and outside the claims team, and other business within Group.
  • Support Account Executives with New Business pitches, attending prospect meetings to sell the benefits of our Claims Proposition to the prospective client.
  • Produce tangible claims experience reports and MI, to identify and analyse trends and discuss these with our clients at Claims Review meetings, pre renewal meetings etc.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and provide a technical referral point to colleagues across the Region Claims Team.
  • Work with broking colleagues to assist them in obtaining the most favourable terms for our clients by proactively handling claims to ensure that Insurers maintain fair and equitable reserves and close claims when appropriate. Ensure that any cleansing of claims records is completed well in advance of the relevant renewal date(s).
  • Identify opportunities to introduce other businesses within Group, to our clients, to enhance the service that we provide to our clients.
  • Promptly alert your line manage to any complaints, conflicts of interest, and Errors & Omissions (E&Os), in line with Group Policy and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirement including adherence to FCA Guidelines, as well as the business units training and competence plan.

What we are looking for in a Claims Executive:

  • Minimum of 5 years cross class commercial claims handling experience, particularly, Motor Fleet, Motor Trade, Property and Liability.
  • Full UK Driving licence and own car, with flexibility in terms of travel.
  • Comfortable and confident presenting in face-to-face meetings with clients, with an ability to produce and analyse claims data, identify trends and provide support and advice to our clients to help them manage the risk and mitigate the prospect of future claims.
  • Broad Technical knowledge of all general classes of insurance, and the confidence to provide a technical referral point to the Regional Claims Team.
  • Ability to understand and interpret policy wordings and explain cover to clients and colleagues alike. Confident to challenge insurers on the interpretation of their own policies, where required in respect of a claim.
  • Excellent IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to analyse data and present results informatively and effectively.
  • Progress in professional examinations to Cert CII and/or Cert CILA level, would be preferable, although not essential.
