Stock & Operational Controller Our client offering bespoke communication solutions for both businesses and consumers, with a B2B team who travel across the UK to clients and three retail branches in London and Manchester are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller to join our team and manage inventory operations efficiently. The Stock Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate stock levels, optimising inventory management procedures, and ensuring the smooth flow of products within the company. Responsibilities • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products, ensuring that inventory levels are aligned with sales and demand. • Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment orders to prevent stockouts while minimising excess inventory. • Order Fulfilment: Coordinate with relevant departments to fulfil customer orders promptly and accurately. • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure they meet established standards. • Data Analysis: Analyse inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing carrying costs. • Reporting: Generate regular and ad hoc reports on stock levels, inventory turnover, and other relevant metrics for management review. • Supplier Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with suppliers to track order status, lead times, and resolve any issues that may arise. • Returns and Defects: Manage the process of handling returns, defective products, and warranty claims, ensuring proper documentation and resolution. • Space Utilisation: Optimise warehouse space by implementing efficient storage and layout strategies. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to inventory management. • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimisation within the inventory management workflow and propose and implement solutions. Qualifications & Experience: • Experience: 2 years proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or related roles. Experience with inventory management software and systems is highly desirable. • Organisational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret inventory data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers. • Problem Solving: Adept at identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency. • Team Player: Collaborative and capable of working effectively within a team-oriented environment. • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using MS Excel, inventory management software, and other relevant tools. • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adjusting to changing priorities as needed. • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for accuracy in maintaining records and managing stock.
