Cloud 9 are on the hunt for a Field Service Engineer to join a highly successful and dynamic team within a packaging machinery company. Your new role will involve day to day service and emergency breakdowns that will require nights away from home. We are eager to hear from candidates who have Mechanical, Electrical and Pneumatic experience, preferably within the food industry who enjoy complete project involvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned day to day maintenance/service to customer's machines and responding to emergency breakdowns. This could include several nights away from home.
  • Liaise and work with field service team, carrying out general field service duties.
  • Schedule and coordinate jobs to tight deadlines.
  • Ensure all equipment is to spec.
  • Cover the full range of equipment with a view to working up to specialising in certain ranges.
  • Make and carry out test procedures.
  • Investigate, diagnose and repair faults.
  • Troubleshoot and support colleagues in troubleshooting.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documents giving office support clear direction.
  • Ensure at all times safe working conditions.
  • Where appropriate, train operation and maintenance staff.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve problems by evaluating and analysing symptoms.
  • Be customer focused at all times.
  • Report customer dissatisfaction/satisfaction, suggestions for improvements on product performance or relationships to management.

The Person

Ability to demonstrate excellent mechanical, electrical and pneumatic competence. At least 3 years' recent experience working in a similar role, preferably within the food industry. Experience of repairing thermoformers, flow wrappers, vertical/horizontal baggers, multi head weighers, tray sealers. Customer focused and enjoy complete project involvement, including travel. Ability to frequently travel and stay away from home; Full UK valid driving licence and passport. Team player with ability to work on own initiative. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Proactive and self-motivated. Excellent problem-solver. Proactive and have a keen eye for detail. Ability to understand customer requirements and needs.

Remuneration

You will receive a salary of £35k - £45k DOE, company vehicle, mobile, laptop, fantastic overtime after 40 Hours (door to door).
