An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join a well-established and growing business based in Stoke-on-Trent.
The role
- Lead day-to-day logistics operations to ensure on-time, cost-effective and compliant deliveries
- Plan and coordinate transport routes, schedules and carrier allocation
- Oversee warehouse logistics including picking, packing and loading efficiency
- Manage carrier performance, service levels and KPIs
- Resolve delivery issues and escalations professionally and efficiently
- Own logistics administration including dispatch paperwork, claims and audit trails
- Champion health & safety and compliance across logistics and contractor activity
- Lead, coach and develop the logistics team
- Oversee import/export processes where applicable
About you
- Proven experience in a logistics or transport leadership role
- Strong knowledge of delivery planning, carrier management and transport administration
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong customer focus with a professional, diplomatic approach
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and stock/ERP systems
- Enthusiastic, reliable and collaborative working style
