Job Title: CNC Maintenance Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of CNC machinery, with a particular focus on DMG Mori and Doosan machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer looking for flexibility in contract type, with opportunities for progression to a permanent role based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on CNC machines, particularly DMG Mori and Doosan models.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in CNC machinery.
Conduct tooling maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal machine performance.
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operational flow.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work carried out and parts used.
Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Collaborate with external service providers when specialist support is required.
Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong working knowledge of DMG Mori and Doosan CNC machines would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Flexible approach to work, including potential shift work if required.
Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
Strong understanding of UK health and safety regulations in an engineering environment.
