A well established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Production Planner to support the smooth running of its operations. You will play a central role in organising workload across multiple stages of production and ensuring that materials, schedules and resources align with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan capacity across all production areas including fabrication, coating and associated finishing processes
* Support time studies to keep capacity data accurate and up to date
* Maintain and update works orders within the company's MRP system
* Issue clear production schedules and monitor progress through each stage
* Assist with maintaining adequate stock levels in line with business requirements
* Regularly review planned work against material availability and customer requirements
* Coordinate any external finishing activities with approved suppliers
* Work closely with internal teams to obtain information required to keep plans on track
* Provide reliable completion dates to customer service, installation and other departments

Experience and Skills Required
* Background in manufacturing with experience in production planning or scheduling
* Confident using IT including Microsoft Office with training provided on in house systems
* Good understanding of manufacturing processes and how work flows through production
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
