Governance Business Partner | Staffordshire | Public Sector | Hybrid | £33,000 - £38,000 |

An exciting opportunity has become available within a respected organisation based in Staffordshire for a Governance Business Partner to support effective governance practices across the group. The role involves end-to-end board and committee administration, regulatory support, and contributing to key governance initiatives.

Duties:

  • Independently manage the administration of allocated Boards, Committees and Working Groups, including preparing agendas and meeting packs, attending meetings, taking high-quality minutes, and tracking actions to completion.
  • Assist the Governance Manager in preparing and submitting regulatory returns
  • Support the organisation’s anti-fraud initiatives and compliance with legal requirements
  • Help deliver a comprehensive Board training programme in collaboration with the Governance Manager
  • Maintain and regularly review the Group’s business continuity framework
  • Contribute to governance-related projects as required
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Governance Manager where appropriate
  • Assist in preparing governance training materials
  • Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Governance Manager or Executive Director of Finance

Experience:

  • Proven experience supporting Boards or Committees with full-cycle meeting administration
  • Strong minute-taking and action-tracking capabilities
  • Familiarity with governance and regulatory compliance in a corporate or not-for-profit setting
  • Confident communication with senior stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and SharePoint
