An exciting opportunity has become available within a respected organisation based in Staffordshire for a Governance Business Partner to support effective governance practices across the group. The role involves end-to-end board and committee administration, regulatory support, and contributing to key governance initiatives.
Duties:
- Independently manage the administration of allocated Boards, Committees and Working Groups, including preparing agendas and meeting packs, attending meetings, taking high-quality minutes, and tracking actions to completion.
- Assist the Governance Manager in preparing and submitting regulatory returns
- Support the organisation’s anti-fraud initiatives and compliance with legal requirements
- Help deliver a comprehensive Board training programme in collaboration with the Governance Manager
- Maintain and regularly review the Group’s business continuity framework
- Contribute to governance-related projects as required
- Attend meetings on behalf of the Governance Manager where appropriate
- Assist in preparing governance training materials
- Carry out any additional duties as directed by the Governance Manager or Executive Director of Finance
Experience:
- Proven experience supporting Boards or Committees with full-cycle meeting administration
- Strong minute-taking and action-tracking capabilities
- Familiarity with governance and regulatory compliance in a corporate or not-for-profit setting
- Confident communication with senior stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and SharePoint
