Production Team LeaderStoke-on-Trent £32,500 P/ a Night shift - Monday to Thursday - 6.30pm to 5.30am

SF Engineering are recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join our established manufacturing client based in Stoke-on-Trent. The Production Team Leader role is to assist the Finishing Supervisor in the day-to-day operation of the Finishing Department to ensure the night shift runs safely and efficiently whilst, ensuring resources are utilised to their maximum potential.

Production Team Leader Key Duties & Tasks:• Ensure all employees are wearing their PPE whilst in working areas• Ensure the work on the production schedule is cleared within the normal shift hours• Mentor inexperienced employees• Ensure the working area is free from clutter and that safe systems of work are being followed• Advise on appropriate safe method of unloading materials• Reporting any problems or accidents to senior management• Supervise the loading of zinc / other alloys into the bath• Ensure coating plant employees use appropriate lifting aids where applicable• Ensure employees working at height are tethered whilst working on the booth• Problem solving if issues arise with capacity/breakdowns

General:• Adhere at all times to the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental instructions and requirements.• Take on any other reasonable responsibilities or tasks that are within the employee's skills and abilities.

Person Specification:

Education & Qualifications:- 3 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and EnglishSkills, knowledge & Experience:- Pro-active approach to work- Good organisational skills- Problem solving and decision-making skillsCompetency & Behaviour:- Capable of forming strong trust-worthy work relationships.- A team player who acts with integrity and respect for others- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team- Willingness to complete additional training as required- Flexible and hard-working
