Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for a motivated and driven individual to lead their fast paced sales team, to maximise sales revenue for the organisation and develop a portfolio of customers.


Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm 


£38,000 - £40,000 + company car or car cash callowance

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that the organisation is the fastest and most effective distributor at introducing new product to its chosen markets through
  • Supporting the increased penetration of the targeted customer groups
  • Supporting the achievement of sales targets of new products whilst maintaining growth on existing products
  • Increasing and maximising current sales volumes
  • Support the introduction of sales of new and specialist products to customers within the region supporting the ASM’s to ensure sales and margin targets are achieved
  • Looking for opportunities to identify future and existing sales opportunities
  • Ensuring that all areas of customer expectation are exceeded
  • Building close and trusted working relationships with operational colleagues to ensure excellent levels of customer service and satisfaction are delivered to customers
  • Maximising sales and margin growth
  • Effective Debt management within customer base
  • Develop, own and manage personal customer portfolio

What you’ll need:

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets
  • Expertise in developing customer relationships to increase business
  • Previous experience of customer management
  • Able to influence key decision makers to achieve results
  • Strong business acumen
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Numerate and problem solving skills essential
  • Ability to work within a team locally and regionally


  • Holiday – 31 days increasing to 33 with service (including 8 bank holidays)
  • Retirement Savings Plan – Matching contribution for less than 4%, above 4% contribution increasing with service
