Acorn by Synergie is searching for a Business Development Manager to join their client, a manufacturing business based in Stoke-on-Trent.

Covering the UK, the purpose of the role is to generate of leads, opportunities and closure of sales with new and existing accounts throughout the UK, selling to UK retailers and the shop fitting industry to meet sales targets. This will encompass a level of technical service support in order to ensure superior customer experience.

Duties will include:

  • Develop and execute lead generation strategies across various channels.
  • Utilise data and analytics to identify and target potential customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to optimise lead generation campaigns. Conduct research to identify and qualify potential leads.
  • Tailor outreach strategies to engage with target demographics or industries.
  • Nurture leads through the sales funnel, addressing their unique needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to convert leads into active accounts.
  • Work closely with sales team to ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to customer activation.
  • Analyse and interpret data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Use analytics tools to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and customer success.
  • Provide insights and feedback to optimise the overall customer journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, interactions, and account activation processes.
  • Document best practices and success stories to share with the team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in lead generation, prospecting, and account activation and strong analytical and data interpretation skills. A background in shelving, merchandising or senior retail would be looked upon favourably.

The role will be one day per week at the Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent and home and field based.

Salary is negotiable depending on knowledge and experience to offer with uncapped commission.
