Academics is recruiting an inspirational English Teacher to join a successful and forward-thinking department on a 12-month maternity cover, starting January 2026. For the right candidate, an earlier start can be arranged.
The Role:
- Teach English across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons
- Inspire students and support strong progress and exam outcomes
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
- Plan and assess in line with school and department policies
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with an English specialism
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English Language and Literature
- A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching for all students
- A positive team player who brings enthusiasm, ambition, and fresh ideas
