About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Manager with a strong background in the water industry to lead our electrical engineering and maintenance activities across water and wastewater treatment sites. This key leadership role ensures the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of all electrical assets while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers and technicians across multiple water/wastewater sites.

  • Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and installation of electrical systems, including pumps, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation, and treatment-process equipment.

  • Ensure full compliance with EAWR, BS 7671, water industry regulations, and company standards.

  • Manage electrical projects and upgrades, ensuring on-time delivery and effective contractor coordination.

  • Develop site electrical maintenance strategies, asset care plans, and long-term electrical integrity programmes.

  • Provide technical expertise on HV/LV systems, telemetry, and process control within water operations.

  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reliability improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate records, permits, safety documentation, and audit compliance.

About You

  • Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).

  • Significant experience in an electrical management or senior electrical engineering role within the water or utilities sector.

  • Strong understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes and associated electrical equipment.

  • Confident managing multi-site engineering teams and external contractors.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong safety-first mindset.

  • Ability to deliver projects and improvements in a regulated operational environment.
