Are you passionate about supporting young children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive primary school and work within our specialist SEN Nurture Group, supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 2 with a wide range of learning, social, emotional and communication needs.



About the Role

  • Provide tailored support for pupils with diverse special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop key life skills.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions and structured nurture provision.

  • Create a calm, positive and safe learning environment where children can build confidence, resilience and independence.

  • Support children with social skills, emotional regulation, communication, play-based learning and early literacy and numeracy.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help them thrive both academically and socially.

  • Has experience working with children with additional needs (school-based experience desirable).

  • Is patient, caring, and passionate about supporting children who may find school challenging.

  • Can work collaboratively as part of a small, supportive team.

  • Has a flexible, proactive and child-centred approach.

  • Is committed to the wellbeing, progress and inclusion of all pupils.
