Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned learning activities or teaching programmes under the direction of the class teacher, adapting as needed to suit individual pupil responses.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of pupil activities and achievements.
- Support pupils social, emotional and behavioural needs; report any concerns promptly.
- Aid in the preparation and organisation of resources for classroom activities.
- Deliver feedback to pupils regarding their performance under teacher guidance.
- Encourage and promote independent learning and inclusion within the classroom.
- Assist with pupils' personal needs, including toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility support, where required.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care setting.
- A good working knowledge of phonics and its application in early education.
- A calm, adaptable and proactive approach to supporting children with varying needs.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable, but not essential).
