�? Role: Shipping Coordinator?? Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme?? Contract Type: Temporary. Temp-perm for the right person. ?? Hourly Rate: £13.50ph - £14.42ph. Dependant on experience. ? Full-Time Position. Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM, can be flexible if required.

Our manufacturing client is seeking a motivated and passionate Shipping Coordinator to coordinate transport and logistics activities while ensuring alignment with targets and budget constraints. The role involves real-time scheduling, execution, and optimisation of transport operations to support business and customer requirements.

What you'll do:

  • Plan schedule new sales orders and transportation activities to optimise efficiency and costs
  • Help manage budgets related to production and shipping by tracking expenses
  • Monitor transport performance, addressing issues proactively
  • Problem Resolution - Address any issues that arise, such as delays, quality concerns, or equipment malfunctions, and work to resolve them quickly
  • Ensure transport schedules align with budgetary and operational targets
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and service levels
  • Process and plan new sales orders into the real-time system as required
  • Coordinate with internal teams and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding shipment status, delays or issues
  • Shipping parts orders and scheduled manufactured parts via carrier
  • Checking orders and raising Purchase Orders
  • Creating daily Shipping & Collections Manifests (UK, Ireland, Europe)
  • Calculating shipment size to book the correct vehicle to suit sales orders
  • Export and Import collections/deliveries
  • POD for sales / parts and service deliveries
  • Send out order acknowledgements
