Contek Recruitment are currenty recruiting for a CNC Operator to join a busy precision engineering company, based in Stoke Row, Henley-on-Thames.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established engineering subcontracting business of highly skilled engineers. The companymanufactures a wide range of precision components for breathing apparatus and medical applications with an international customer base.
They are looking for a CNC operator to join their night shift at their factory in Stoke Row, near Reading, Henley, Wallingford and Didcot.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating CNC multi-axis machining centres
- Monitoring production of precision components.
- Changing tips/tools as required.
- Ensure components are washed and prepared for the next step in production.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Understanding of basic metrology using verniers, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Experience of running programs on CMMs and other automated inspection devices.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good time management.
Hourly rate shown is inclusive of night shift allowance which is time and a third. Overtime when available is time and a half.
