Our client, is seeking a skilled Workshop Team Leader to join their team in Eccleshall, Stafford. This is your opportunity to lead a talented team, work with cutting-edge technology, and make a tangible impact on customer satisfaction!

What You'll Do:
As the Workshop Team Leader you will be at the heart of their operations, ensuring that their monitoring systems and instruments are maintained at the highest standard.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Servicing & Repairs: Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of high-quality equipment, both in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites.
  • Product Expertise: Work with renowned brands such as Fuji and Buhler to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Installation & Commissioning: Collaborate with service engineers to support the installation and commissioning of systems on-site.
  • Workload Management: organise and manage the daily and weekly workloads of the workshop team, balancing resources, maintaining stock control of consumables, and providing regular updates to management.

Who You Are:
We're looking for someone who is not just skilled but also possesses a proactive approach and a strong customer focus. Here's what you bring to the table:


Education & Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (A*-C or equivalent) in English, Maths, and Science.
  • Formal qualification in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory engineering role, ideally within electro-mechanical service/repair.
  • Happy to work occasionally on customer sites.


Key Skills:

  • A customer-focused mindset, delivering work that exceeds expectations.
  • Excellent job coordination skills, preparing materials and resources efficiently.
  • Strong reporting abilities, completing documents accurately and on time.
  • A knack for troubleshooting and swiftly identifying root causes of faults.
  • Experience in managing, mentoring, and supporting junior technicians.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally, stay overnight, and work overtime when needed.
