Lead Site Manager | Stone / UK Client Sites | Neg (Enquire for details) | Energy Industry

MERITUS are delighted to be supporting a leading specialist in Operational Technology and Digital Transformation within the Energy sector. We're searching for an experienced Lead Site Manager with a strong Electrical Engineering background to oversee the safe, high-quality delivery of Protection, Control, Automation and Electrical installation projects across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering critical infrastructure projects across transmission substations, power generation, renewables, industrial energy systems and large-scale automation environments. You will play a key leadership role, driving standards in safety, installation quality, commissioning, and site delivery performance.

The role is primarily based between the Stone office and client sites nationwide.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage site delivery of Protection, Control, Automation and Electrical installations to required safety, quality and CDM standards.
  • Coordinate multi-discipline site teams and subcontractors across installation and commissioning phases.
  • Chair pre-start, progress and client coordination meetings, producing clear documentation and reporting.
  • Oversee site safety documentation including RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and quality plans such as ITPs.
  • Conduct site audits, surveys and competency assessments, ensuring consistent best practice across all active sites.

Required Skills:

  • Proven site management experience within electrical installation, power, substations or industrial infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of CDM 2015, construction legislation and site safety management.
  • BS7671 18th Edition plus relevant H&S training (SMSTS, IOSH/CITB, Temporary Works, Asbestos Awareness).
  • Experience supervising mechanical/electrical subcontractors and leading commissioning or installation works.
  • National Grid competency (CP) and ideally SR163 authorisation, plus strong communication and leadership skills.
