Job Title: Assembler
Mission
The Assembler plays a key role in the production process by accurately assembling and testing products, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring all work meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and follow written and verbal instructions.
* Identify components and use appropriate hand tools, rework techniques, and assembly equipment.
* Assemble oilfield completion products and tool assemblies with precision and accuracy.
* Conduct testing on assembled products and tool assemblies to verify performance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to products and assemblies.
* Record labour transactions and maintain accurate documentation within the relevant business systems.
* Maintain detailed records of work performed.
* Perform daily 5S activities and contribute to lean manufacturing initiatives.
* Carry out preventative maintenance on machines using written instructions and checklists.
* Wear required PPE at all times and comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
* Complete all mandatory safety training, including but not limited to: crane and forklift operation, drugs and alcohol awareness, electrical safety, emergency response, fire safety, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, and safe driving.
Special Knowledge & Skills
* Basic to intermediate soldering skills, including understanding of solder and flux theory.
* Hands-on experience with soldering techniques such as tinning, splicing, jenkin spring, turret soldering, and crimping.
* Ability to select correct tools, solder types, and fixtures for each task.
Minimum Education
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Vocational or trade school certification preferred
