Job description

Job Title: FLT Counterbalance driver

Location: Stonehouse, GL10

Pay Rate: £13.50p/h, raising to £14.56p/h

Contract: Temp to perm

gap-personnel are currently recruiting for a perm role of FLT Counterbalance driver, for one of the multinational companies in Stonehouse. They are leading distributor for food manufactures around the globe, and recently moved to the area GL10.

As a FLT Counterbalance driver, you would need to be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in working in similar role. Good written and spoken English is required for this role.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

Ensure all items are stacked and palletised correctly

· Loading and unloading the stock

· Despatch loading and uploading lorries

· Ensuring all manufacturing areas have the correct volume of items

· Delivering and allocating stock/items to chiller (4 degrees)

· Operating forklifts and complying with Health & Safety Regulations

· MUST HAVE IN DATE FLT COUNTERBALANCE LICENSE

· Making sure that Food Safety and Food Quality is adhered all the time, as well as customer requirements outages, and be able to identify and understand their requirements

Working shifts and hours

  • Monday - Wednesday 6:00 - 18:00pm / and 18:00pm -6:00am (rotational shift) Thursday 6:00-12:00pm/ an 18:00-00:00(midnight)

Successful candidate will be pro-active individual one with a ‘can do’ approach for work. Must be able to work under the pressure of time and be able to work across variety of environments. Must have a good eye for detail. Needs to have good awareness of hygiene in theory and practice. There will be an interview process for this role.
