Kingston Barnes is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a world-class manufacturer renowned for delivering creative and innovative engineered solutions. With a reputation for excellence in extreme and severe environments, our client operates two specialist divisions:

• Subsea Division – Designing valves, actuators, and filters for challenging underwater applications.

• Dryer Division – Creating bespoke air filters tailored to unique client requirements.

We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist (Lathe expertise) to join their skilled manufacturing team. In this role, you will:

• Set up, operate, and maintain manual lathe machines to produce precision parts.

• Work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.

• Ensure all parts meet strict quality standards and are delivered on schedule.

• Support production efficiency by meeting quality, cost, and output targets within your assigned production cell.

• Salary: £28,295 plus shift allowance of £7,705 (total approximately £36,000).

• Hours: Double Days –

  • Monday to Thursday: 6 am–2 pm and 2 pm–10 pm

  • Friday: 5.5-hour shift

• Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

• Pension: 5–7% contribution plan

• Proven experience as a Manual Machinist with strong lathe operation skills.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

• A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.

• Flexible and team-oriented, with a focus on quality and deadlines.
