Project Manager - West Midlands - £60k + hybrid working + £5600 car allowance + annual bonus (up to 10% of salary) + 7.5% company pension contribution = £75k+ package
Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager with a demonstrable track record as a Project Manager from either a process plant or system integration background to join a West Midlands based machinery and specialist equipment manufacturer.
The successful Project Manager will have experience of installation / upgrade / retrofit type project work.
Key aspects of the Project Manager position include;
- The role is focused on stakeholder management and bringing projects together more than heavy technical involvement.
- Experience of delivering projects in sectors such as food & beverage, oil & gas and/or petrochemical from the supplier/systems integrator side will be ideal
- A background of project management of brownfield installation / upgrade / retrofit type project work
- Given the focus on installation, this role is not about improving an existing process
- First class stakeholder management skills, scheduling, client meetings, risk assessments, dealing with change requests and budget management
- Experience of project management in either electrical or mechanical engineering (not commercial).
- Strong communication skills are paramount
- Project Manager will report to the Operations Manager on all aspects of project progress and cost control
- Be responsible for cost control forecasts and reports
- Provide monthly updates highlighting project movements, cost to complete and margin.
- Give presentations of commercial position at Monthly Project Review Meetings.
- Provide Proof of Concept forecasts for each quarter and update regularly.
- PMP certification would be ideal – not essential. Knowledge of Waterfall methodology also could be useful.

The office element to the Project Manager role will be based in Warwickshire and is commutable from the following places – Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Redditch, Nuneaton, Rugby, Daventry and Northampton.
