Smart Education is currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with complex social, emotional, and educational needs in an innovative and highly engaging educational provision based in Stourbridge.

The successful candidate will support students through a unique curriculum focused on outdoor learning and practical skills – including activities such as woodwork, textiles, pottery, cooking, and care of animals and gardens. Essential Requirements:
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Access to own reliable transport (location not easily accessible by public transport)

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational, SEND, or care setting

  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a calm, solution-focused mindset

  • A strong interest in creative, hands-on, and outdoor education

  • Good literacy and numeracy (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent)

  • A genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children and young people

Key Responsibilities:
