Our client, based within the Stourbridge area, have urgent requirements for Electrician working within their Foundry.

Job duties:

  • Install and Maintain Electrical System

  • Troubleshoot Electrical Issue

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance

  • Work with High-Voltage Equipment

  • Calibrate and Repair Automation Equipment

  • Read and Interpret Technical Schematics

  • Assist in Equipment Installation and Upgrade

  • Respond to Emergency Breakdown

  • Document Work and Maintain Logs

  • Keep detailed records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and part replacements.

  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering Teams

The package:

  • Basic £37500 (40hrs).
  • Hourly rate (£18.03)
  • OT rate for Saturday (£22.03)
  • Day shift /dual site
  • 25 days plus 8 statutory days

Hours:

  • Typically the hours are 5-15:00 or 7-17:00 - the operation is 12 hr day shift and 10 hr nights
  • Days is Monday-Friday 
  • Nights is Monday-Thursday
  • Saturday 5-11 - The team rotate cover on Saturdays
  • In the event of breakdowns at the end of shift we work as team to ensure we are up and running on the following morning 

Requirements:

  • Foundry related experience is always advantageous but not essential 
  • What is essential is problem solving as a strength 
  • Open to any background as long as attitude is focused on development, teamwork and prepared to work with mechanical engineers to share work load and deal with priorities such as unplanned maintenance/ breakdowns
  • People with experience of working only in food industries may not have the suitable expectations on the working environment 
  • As a business, I believe we contribute more to pensions than the statutory requirement
  • Holiday’s are fully flexible for engineering department. 
  • The operation has fixed shutdowns but engineers work though them.
  • Holidays are organised within the department (first come first serve)
